The production area will cover 50% of the whole plot with approx. 500,000 m2 and MIRAK Agricultural services will concentrate on producing:

• Seasonal flowers
• Trees of all sizes and types
• Shrubs of all sizes
• Indoor and outdoor plants
• Turf

Therefore another important component to fulfil the upcoming needs of Dubai is the production area, located in the western area of the plot. The production area will host all necessary service facilities and will be operated by MIRAK Agricultural Services L.L.C. MIRAK will design and erect all production facilities, e.g. greenhouses, shade houses, storage and warehouses and turf facilities, in using latest technologies and hydro phonic systems.

In addition to the production there will be a partnership between MIRAK, “The Green City” and the DHLA to train students regarding practical exercises in the fields of horticulture and agriculture. This partnership will increase the synergies between users and stakeholders of “Desert Rose - The Green City”.
