The vision of the Desert Rose project is to create a ‘Green City of Excellence’ and in doing so it proposes to create aspects which are unique both regionally and internationally. For examples, the Horticulture and Landscaping academy will be the first of its kind within the region and through international affiliations will offer courses which are internationally benchmarked. The Green Business Hub will be an area specially dedicated for companies in the green sector. The Green Business Hub will provide ready to operate fully serviced office spaces around a high quality infrastructure providing an advanced digital communication network, reliable power supply and other utilities supporting the needs of professional companies. Therefore the Green Business Hub will be a major new step in Dubai’s evolution to attract globally active business players in the Green Sector and will help them through local networks and synergies to become part of the regional market. It is important to note that the Green Business Hub will be the region’s first focal point dedicated to professionals in the Green Sector.

No city in the world has an exhibition and conference centre dedicated to the Green Sector and in this respect this is a unique concept. The exhibition and conference centre will have facilities that are not available anywhere else and will allow it to attract ‘Green Exhibitions’ from other locations to this venue. In order to promote the green aspects of Dubai the Desert Rose project will initiate an international flower show and other types of exhibitions which are in good demand worldwide. Evidence from the UK and Australia shows that such events bring considerable direct and indirect benefits to the local economy. An important aspect of the Desert Rose project is the Production Area using the Latest Hydro-phonic growing system technologies utilized and suitable for the regions conditions and which will grow a range of indoor, outdoor plants, seasonal as well as cut flowers, trees, shrubs… etc, to satisfy some of the needs of the local and regional projects under construction and being planned. It is also hoped that Desert Rose project compliments, and is linked into other existing projects such as the Dubai Flower Center.
