The production season in the UAE is normally from December till May although we have been able to extend production earlier and later than these periods by utilizing the state of the art facilities we have established in the farm. These facilities include the following:

1. State of the art Germination Room which allows for germinating various vegetable seeds under ideal conditions and when normally it is not possible. For examples seeding Celery and lettuce seeds during August is now done under right conditions of proper temperatures, humidity, and lighting that would allow to have production during November or December, where normally it would not start before January. A saving of more than one month.
2. One hectar of controlled environment greenhouses, used to establish and grow seedlings of various vegetables for more than half of its normal growing period prior to planting in the open field where it grows for much shorter periods before harvesting takes place. Specially designed and manufactures seedling trays has helped drastically reduce the costs involved in production of seedling plants for cultivation.
3. Cold storage and packing facilities: include pre-cooling rooms for harvest Strawberries, Vacuum cooling chamber for pre-cooling leefy items like Iceberg lettuces; holding cold rooms for storing harvested items under ideal conditions prior to shipment to markets, and packing rooms for packing the harvest items as per market requirements.
4. Storage facilities for packaging materials, fertilizers and chemicals are all in place closely where they are needed.

During the idle summer months when there are no production of vegetables, Mirak Agricultural Services has established one of the larges nurseries in the UAE for production and propagation of ornamental plants, trees, shrubs, ground covers, carpet grass ( turf ), as well as seasonal flowering plants for supply to local market of landscape and horticulture. A large garden center is being established in the farm for landscape, and horticultural contractors and consumers at large where they can procure all their requirements needed for a garden under one roof. All the facilities and work force are used during the summer for the horticulture division whereby we are continuously busy and utilize the company resources effectively and optimally.
